Care for your jean

Once you've invested in premium quality jean, it's important you take proper care of them. Not only will this prolong the lifetime, it will also help your jeans age better.

We always advise that you hand-wash your FIVE POCKET jeans, avoid using machine, unless it is absolutely necessary. We recommend 1st hand-wash (in a bathtub) after four to six months of regular wearing, to maintain the best fit and increase the lifetime.

You may ask yourself why? Well, it’s simple, the more often you wash denim, the more you rip the fabric down.

How to wash your FIVE POCKET Jeans

We recommend that you hand-wash your FIVE POCKET jeans in a tub (a deep bucket will also work). Before you begin, please double-check to make sure there are no chemical or cleaning product residues in it! Since the last thing you want is to accidentally bleach your FIVE POCKET jeans!

How to hand-wash FIVE POCKET Jeans

5 steps to hand-wash your jeans:

  1. Check all 5 pockets, close the buttons, and turn the jeans inside out. This is important, as it helps sustain the colour of the denim.

  2. Fill the bathtub with cold to hottish water. Dip the jeans completely, by laying them flat for about 30 minutes. You may need to add some weights to hold them down. The water may turn blue! Don’t be scared, it’s normal for raw denim to bleed a little, especially on the first wash.

  3. Brush the fabric surface with hand and a little bit of soap (naturel soap is best) or a denim wash.

  4. Place the jeans back in the tub and rinse thoroughly until they are clean. You will need to refresh the water a couple of times.

  5. Remove the jeans from the tub and turn them right-side-out. Pull them slightly into shape and let them air dry vertically. If possible, do this step outside, as they’ll drip water for some time. Let them air dry for at least 48 hours.

Voilà, a clean FIVE POCKET jeans to enjoy!

How to machine wash FIVE POCKET Jeans

We always encourage that you hand-wash your FIVE POCKET jeans whenever possible, but you may consider to machine wash them occasionally. Yet, please remember that this can, and it will be a rough place for jeans, so please avoid it unless it is absolutely necessary.

5 steps to machine washing your jeans:

  1. Check all 5 pockets, close the buttons, and turn your jeans inside-out. Place them inside the washing machine.

  2. Insert a small amount of smooth detergent and set a moderate rotation speed.

  3. Wash at 30 °C, or less, so the heat doesn’t damage the fabric or resize the jeans.

  4. Take them out, turn right-side-out and pull into shape by stretching the legs.

  5. Hang vertically and let the jeans air dry for at least 24 hours, preferably outside if possible. Never put your jeans in a dryer! It will damage the fabric, fade the colour and resize the jeans.

A clean pair of FIVE POCKET jeans. Ready to enjoy!
