Measuring & size guide

Before conducting the measurements, it is important to distinguish these two things; are the jeans made from a fabric which contains stretch (very modern today) or if the jeans are already worn-in. As these two facts will influence the outcome. If the jeans are made of a stretchy denim, make sure you do not stretch the fabric while measuring. And if your jeans have already been worn-in, be aware that they have probably stretched (half or even up to one hole size) over time, in other words, they are wider (bigger) than when you originally bought them.

Please keep in mind that these are approximate measurements of the garment, there can and will be slight differences.

  • WAIST - Take the jeans and lay them down flat on the floor or table. Pull the waistband so that the front and back are as close together as possible (try not to stretch the fabric). Place your tape measure on one edge of the waistband and measure across the waistband to the other side and multiply this number by 2. This is your waist measurement.

  • THIGH - Place the end of the measuring tape at the crotch seam. Hold the jeans and the tape measure, and then measure at a 90-degree angle across the entire leg. Be sure to measure the entire width and not just from the in seam to the outside seam.

  • RISE - Place the measuring tape end at the inseam. Hold the jeans fabric and the tape measure. Take a measurement from the crotch seam to the top edge of the waistband on the front of the jeans.

  • KNEE - To determine the knee measurements, you need to take two steps. Start by measuring 35 cm along the inseam of the leg, starting at the crotch seam. After you have measured 35 cm along the inseam, measure straight across the knee.

  • INSEAM - Stretch out the leg and make sure it lies flat. Measure from the inseam to the bottom of the jeans (hem/leg opening). This is the length measurement.

  • HEM - Just measure across the hem (leg opening). Be sure to measure the complete width of the hem.
